Family Day Part 1

Yesterday was great! We haven't had a "fun day" with just the four of us in a long time. So yesterday we took of and planned as we went. We didn't go to to far away from home, but ended up at two places I had never been before and it was SO nice!

The first place we went was Camp Croft State Park.

This was a great place and the weather was perfect.
First, you couldn't beat the price:

First we just drove around the place to explore and see what all they had to offer.

They have a lake and you are able to rent canoes and Jon boats at really good rates. They also have a stables and a horse corral, as well as riding trails and hiking/biking trails.  You can also camp here.  (didn't take any pictures of the campers, sorry :/) There are campsites with water and power and there are also primitive camp sites. So this place has TONS of options.
After riding around we stopped and let the kids play at the little park they had.

While there we met some people who were camping there and talked to them for a little while, while Haleigh played with their grandson. Lucas started getting tired so we said goodbye and left. On the way out we spotted a little old cemetery on the side of the road, (David and both love old cemetery's, there is just so much history) so we pulled over and checked it out.

It was a really old one from the early 1800s. Most of the graves were from 1812 and then there were a good bit that had nothing written on them.

We left after that and moved on to our next "location"
Stay tuned for where we went next :)
